Physician Authored Position Papers
At Advanced Functional Cardiovascular Care, clinical practice and scholarly inquiry are inseparable. The position papers published here represent the physician led intellectual work that underlies every evaluation, every investigative protocol, and every plan of care delivered within this practice. Each paper addresses a dimension of cardiovascular health where the existing standard of care has not yet kept pace with the depth of physiologic understanding that modern cardiovascular medicine demands. Grounded in published evidence and authored through the lens of physiologic systems based cardiovascular medicine, these papers examine the metabolic, autonomic, hormonal, inflammatory, and vascular drivers of cardiovascular disease at their biological origin. They are written for the physician who wants to understand the clinical rationale behind this approach, and for the patient who deserves to know that the care they receive is anchored in something more rigorous than convention. This is AFCC’s contribution to the evolving standard of cardiovascular medicine.
